What Kinds of Bands do you Want?

An Apple Watch will come with a band when you purchase it. That doesn’t mean that band is the only one you should have. Watchbands come in many colors, shapes, and sizes. A replacement band will go with many of your outfits. Blue, black, and white are neutral colors that will go with anything you own. Another option is to purchase a band in a different color so you can change them based on your mood or what you’re wearing each day. Yellow means you’re feeling bright and happy, and red could mean you’re not feeling so hot. These colors will help determine your mood for the day.

What to Accessorize With Your Apple Watch?

If you’re like most women, you love to wear bracelets on your wrists. How much is too much? When you think about this question, try to remember the size of your watch band. If the band is too large, other bracelets may not work on the same wrist because it will be too cluttered. You will have to put them on your other wrist. Decorative bands, such as pearl bands, would look great with a pearl bracelet. If you purchase a gold watchband, you could wear a bracelet with a touch of gold on it. This way the accessories won’t clash with the band and make your wrist unbearable to look at. Having too many bracelets on both wrists will make your accessories look cluttered, and you just threw the look together at the last minute. In addition to that concept, it will also look like there is not enough room for your watch.

Another option to accessorize with your Apple watch is your rings. You could match your watch band with the band on your ring for a unified look. Also, you could match the watch band with the stone on your ring to make your look complete.

When you ask yourself these questions, it will help you determine which Apple watch will complete your outfit. It helps to have a resource for inspiration on what you could purchase for yourself. Proofwearable.com can be that inspiration for you.

Best Apple Watch Strap for your style

  1. Wrist Size

If you are getting ready to purchase an Apple Watch, you are supposed to pay attention to the wrist size and the band options available to have the finest fit. There are a number of Apple Watch straps that require specific sizing, and some that have been designed not to fit in all wrists. You are recommended to try on an Apple Watch strap if there is a local Apple retail store located nearby. However, if there is none, you should ensure you have the right measurements so Apple does not send one with the wrong size. Though some of the bands might tend to be adjustable, you are supposed to give the right measurements of your wrist to avoid inconveniences.

  1. Material

As more and more people are buying the Apple Watches, the personality or style contest becomes harder to win since every person owns a similar timepiece. Choosing the right material for your straps will ensure that you stand out. One good thing about the material you decide on for your straps is that changing it is possible. When you are deciding on the material of the watch strap, you are recommended to pay attention to one which is most comfortable, fashionable, and durable.

When metals are used for the straps, they could last for generations. Additionally, not much maintenance is required for the metal-styled Apple Watch bands.

Leather bands, which are probably the most common in the ancient watch industry should be an option for those who like dressing in casual and formal attire. Though leather straps are elegant, they are low profile.

  1. Color and Watch-Band Pairing

When you are deciding on the color of the bands to choose, you should bear in mind the color of the watch to ensure that your combo is perfect. When you are doubting whether the bright colors will do well for your watch, you are recommended to leave them and go for the common colors which blend well with everything. You are recommended to use the monochromatic wheel to know color relationships and those that could easily be used together.

Buying an Apple Watch band could seem to be an easy task until you find out all the things you are required to consider. Five Things to Help Make Sheltering at Home Better

Five-Things-Photo

This whole sheltering at home thing is getting very hard. I don’t want to make this post negative at all because I’m trying to stay on the positive side of things, but we are all going a bit crazy over here.

With that in mind, I want to share five things that are making my days a bit brighter. We are trying not to spend a lot of money right now, but I have made a few purchases that have changed my mood for the better and made my outlook brighter. Below are five things to help make sheltering at home better for you and your loved ones (just you, let’s be honest).

Catchall mat

1// Prince Lionheart Catchall / $15 for 2 of them
If you have kids, these are seriously the best thing since nap time. I strategically place these under their kitchen chairs (where they eat) and at the end of mealtime, I fling out all the crumbs and scraps that have accumulated over the course of the day. It cuts clean-up time in half which makes me so happy at the end of the night. Also, these bad boys work as craft mats for those of us who cringe at the thought of having to scrub paint and other such craft things off walls and tables.

ATM Linen Pants

2// ATM Linen Stripe Pants / $79.99 plus 40% off
Oh sweet Jesus where have these been all my life. I think I have been looking for this pair of pants for five years. These are so lightweight and comfortable without looking sloppy. I’m not the biggest fan of shorts, but I also don’t want to sweat my a** off all summer. The best part is that these are on an insane discount. If you are between sizes, size up because these are not the type of pants that you want to fit snug. Do the half tuck with a white tee plus your favorite sandal and you are golden.

3// Emerson Fry Baja Caftan / $158
I know, I know. I am obsessed with this line and I’m OK with it. You guys, this looks super cool on the beach, but I would wear this every day in the summer too. The color is so good and so is the length. You can for sure chase kids down in this or be comfy in it and lay poolside. I feel strong about this caftan and it makes me very happy thinking that it might be mine.

4// Dôen Joan Dress / $198
First off, I want to say that I am feeling these vibes. When this Covid garbage is over, I want to spin around in this dress with a beer in my hand ideally somewhere amazing like right here. I’ll settle for my front yard though. How pretty is this dress? I also love it styled open without the belt for those caftan vibes. Also, it’s perfect for going straight from the pool to cocktails. That’s a lofty goal for my life right now, but one can dream. I’m into it.

5// Elsie Green Baskets / $69
These baskets have made me so much happier because they keep clutter hidden and look beautiful at the same time. I keep this exact basket (size large) by our back porch and all our shoes go in there and stay there. No more muddy shoes all over the living room. I first saw these on Alicia’s blog and immediately ordered a few. They are sturdy and perfect for anyone who loves a classic neutral basket. You will be so happy with these.

I hope everyone is staying safe and staying at home during this tough time. Reach out to me with any questions or if you need helping finding any of these products.

NEED TO KNOW: LARSEN & LUND

I’m excited to tell you guys about this gorgeous accessories line that I stumbled across not too long ago. Larsen & Lund is an environmentally conscious fashion and accessories line based out of Los Angeles. All the leather in their products is upcycled. This means that the leather they use comes from other manufacturers who have leftover pieces of material that would otherwise go unused. They use these materials to create beautiful bags, accessories, and clutches while at the same time reducing waste.

BORA BORA RECAP

BORA BORA RECAP

The second half of our honeymoon was spent in Bora Bora. We took a short flight from Temae, Moorea to Bora Bora and then grabbed a boat to our hotel. We spent 5 nights at the Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort & Spa and I highly recommend it. Bora Bora is more touristy than Moorea, but for good reason. It’s completely off the grid and if you want to venture off the resort, you have to take a boat. The views are unreal and below are a few of my favorite photos.

We spent an afternoon touring the Island with Moana Adventure Tours. We had an unbelievable guide that showed us his family’s island, where to find the best coral, and even took us swimming with rays (and sharks). It was one of my favorite experiences from the trip and if you go, this is an absolute must.

Our trip was even better than we anticipated and lived up to all the expectations we had. Before you book a trip to French Polynesia, there are a few things you should know…

Mosquitos. I’m not kidding when I say that you need bug spray with you all-the-time. They will literally eat you alive. Be smart and buy some before you go or else pay upwards of $25 for a small bottle. Ouch.

Also, if you want to travel in the Fall (like we did), go in early or mid October so that you miss the beginning of their rainy season. We caught the early part and it wasn’t terrible, but we had a few rainy days.

Last, plan your tours early. There are a lot of people trying to do the same activities so try and figure out what you want to do and just book it.

French Polynesia was the trip of a lifetime and I’m looking forward to our next adventure…

{Resort Maxi by Pink Stitch, Banana Republic Double-Bow Fedora, Anthropologie clutch and necklace (a few years old, but see similar below)}

This month’s Bloggers Who Budget theme is maxi dresses under $100. Summer is right around the corner, which means maxi dress season is upon us. There’s no better way to beat the heat than by putting on your favorite maxi and calling it a day.

My dress is the Pink Stitch Resort Maxi Dress for $84. These dresses are so good for the price. The cutout back and ruching make this dress a summer must-have and I’m tempted to grab one in every single color. Fit tip: the bust tends to run a bit small, so consider sizing up. If you are looking for a printed maxi under $100, peep this Zig Zag Resort Maxi that I wore for our April Bloggers Who Budget Prints + Patterns Collab.

A great fedora is essential and just adds to any summer look whether it be a maxi or cut-offs. Mine is the Double Bow Fedora and you can find this gem at your local Banana Republic. The jewelry and clutch were bought a few years ago at Anthropologie, but I found a few that are similar (see below).

There’s no shortage of affordable maxi dress inspiration this month, so be sure to check out all the Bloggers Who Budget below!
